2. Will anyone know I used a ghostwriter?
Not unless you choose to tell them.
All work through The Paperback Writer Bureau is covered by a full confidentiality agreement (NDA).
Your name appears on the final work - ours does not.
You own the copyright once payment is complete, and we remain invisible.

3. How involved do I need to be in the process?
That’s entirely up to you.
Some clients prefer regular collaboration - interviews, idea sessions, chapter feedback - while others hand over an outline and trust us to handle the rest.
Either way, we’ll ensure the voice, tone, and message feel authentically yours.

4. How long does ghostwriting take?
Timelines vary depending on the project’s length and complexity:

5. How much does ghostwriting cost?
Professional ghostwriting is a serious investment in your story.
Our typical rates start at $30,000–$45,000 for full-length books, and $15,000–$25,000 for screenplays, depending on scope, research, and turnaround. We offer clear milestones and payment schedules so you always know where you stand - no surprises, no fine print.

6. Do I keep the copyright to the work?
Yes. Once the final payment is made, all rights and ownership transfer fully to you.
Until that point, all drafts and intellectual property remain the Bureau’s property.
You’ll own the finished manuscript, screenplay, or book entirely - including all profits, royalties, and publication rights.

7. What if I already have a draft or notes, can you use them?
Absolutely!
The more detail you have available for us to gain insight into what you want, the easier it will be to get a grasp on your 'writer's voice' and the book inside your head.
Many of our projects begin with client materials: rough chapters, outlines, voice memos, or research notes.
We’ll build on what you’ve already created, refining and restructuring where needed to deliver a cohesive, publishable manuscript.

8. How do I know the final book will sound like me?
Before we write a word, we take time to study your voice - your phrasing, rhythm, and intent.
Through recorded interviews, notes, and early chapter samples, we ensure your personality is woven through every page.
Our goal isn’t to replace your voice - it’s to refine and amplify it.

9. Can you help me publish or market my book once it’s finished?
Yes.
We offer self-publishing support, including formatting, cover design, and account setup on Kindle KDP or IngramSpark, plus optional audiobook production guidance.
For traditional publishing, we prepare query letters, synopses, and submission packages for agents or editors.
We’ll help you navigate whichever path best suits your goals.

10. What types of projects do you not take on?
We respectfully decline any project that involves:

Illegal or defamatory material

Overly political projects that require extensive journalistic research

Hate speech or extremist content

Plagiarism or copyright infringement

Sexual content involving minors

Unverifiable claims in non-fiction without supporting evidence
We do, however, welcome bold, original, and ambitious projects - fiction or non-fiction - that have something meaningful to say.
We may require you to provide a chain of title for specific projects that relate to life rights or adaptation of existing works.

11. Do you have samples of your writing?
Yes, we can share samples upon request.
However, because of our confidentiality agreements, we can’t reveal which projects were ghostwritten for which clients. Every sample we provide is for style and tone reference only, and all client identities remain private.

12. How do payments work?
Our standard payment structure is:

25% deposit - due upon signing the agreement (non-refundable).

50% mid-project payment - due upon delivery of the first full draft.

25% final payment - due upon completion and before delivery of final files.
Payments are milestone-based for clarity and fairness. Ownership of the work transfers to you only once full payment is received.

13. What if I’m not happy with the work?
Our goal is always your satisfaction. Each project includes two full rounds of revisions to refine tone, structure, and language.
If after those rounds you’re still not satisfied, we’ll work collaboratively to find a solution - whether that’s additional editing, a tonal recalibration, or a partial payout agreement.

All written material remains the property of The Paperback Writer Bureau until full payment (or an agreed payout) is made.
This ensures fairness for both parties while maintaining professional integrity.

14. Do you only work with established authors or filmmakers?
Not at all. We work with anyone who has a story to tell - first-time authors, entrepreneurs, creatives, or professionals with a message worth sharing.
What matters most is that your story has purpose, and you’re ready to tell it well.

15. What happens after the project is complete?
Once your manuscript or screenplay is delivered and paid for in full, it’s entirely yours - including all rights, royalties, and all future profits.
If you’d like to continue with publishing, adaptation, or marketing support, we can discuss optional next-stage packages.

16. Do you work with international clients?
Yes, absolutely.
We regularly collaborate with clients all over the world through Zoom, email, and shared project platforms.
The only requirement is that the project be in English.
Whether you’re based in London, Los Angeles, or Lagos, if your story is in English, we can help bring it to life. Time zones are flexible, stories travel easily.

17. Tell me more about you experience as a writer
I’ve spent over two decades working in storytelling, across film, television, and publishing.
I’ve written or developed more than thirty screenplays and worked in TV and film production for over 20 years, collaborating with brands and studios including Lionsgate, Tourism Australia, and Microsoft.
On the publishing side, I’ve written and self-published more than a hundred novels, some under my own name and others under pen names spanning genres from thriller and literary fiction to romance, comedy, and horror. That breadth of experience means I understand story from every angle, structure, character, rhythm, and audience connection, whether the goal is a screenplay, a novel, or a memoir.
Ghostwriting feels like a natural continuation of that work: taking everything I’ve learned about craft and helping others bring their stories to life with clarity, emotion, and authenticity.
